What We Do

  • Supporting Disadvantaged Communities

Most Scottish towns and cities face a variety of social challenges. Many of their young people have no access to activities or even social interaction within their communities and cultural divides can be strong.

Starting in Glasgow, Beyond Boundaries initiated a HOWZAT programme which targeted inactivity amongst children in some of the more deprived areas - Springburn, Govanhill and Pollokshields – using a number of existing cricket programmes.

This is now being expanded into Edinburgh and it is our plan to roll out the benefits of this programme (including physical and mental health, social inclusion and self confidence) more broadly across Scotland.

  • Supporting People with Disabilities

The Beyond Boundaries Disability Cricket Champions Club program supports cricket clubs in Scotland to open their gates and deliver cricket opportunities tailored to those with disabilities.
With the support of a tried and tested approach developed by the ECB (England and Wales overall cricket body) and delivered by our partner Cricket Scotland, Beyond Boundaries are sponsoring the DCCC in Scotland.

Beyond Boundaries also supports the targeted use of cricket-based activities for children with additional educational needs

  • Supporting Women and Girls

Beyond Boundaries supports the development of Women and Girls’ cricket in Scotland in two key ways:
    1. Providing accessible, social, cricket based activities via sponsorship of the Wee Bash programme where the emphasis is very much on participation and fun.

    2. Supporting the development of W&G's cricket in Scotland - which includes sponsorship of the annual Beyond Boundaries T20 Scottish Cup and also funding programmes to train up female cricket coaches.
